Get restaurant service training in the context of the hospitality industry. Acquire the skills and competencies to provide beverage and wine service, dining room service, food preparation, food and beverage control, hospitality and customer service.

PRACTICAL KITCHEN - EXPRESS MENU

This course aims to apply the knowledge previously acquired in the curriculum. The dishes are prepared by the students for a plate service in the context of the lunch menu at the restaurant-school Les Jardins. In addition, the student acquires the operating techniques and applies the protocols of a professional kitchen.

This course gives you the opportunity to obtain a digital crest for the Skill City Spirit of enterprise and initiative.

Cook, is this a job that interests you?  The Cooking program is designed to train
people who are able to work as cooks and cooks. These individuals will acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to assess the organoleptic qualities of foods, establish professional relationships, safely utilize kitchen tools and equipment, choose appropriate cooking techniques, prepare foods, set up soups, basic pasta, appetizers, meats, fish and desserts, cook presentations, set up and serve kitchen production menus, breakfasts, table d'hôte menus, and à la carte as well as buffets.

The Commission scolaire de la Capitale, through its vocational training center (Ecole hôtelière de la Capitale), provides high-quality training to become a cook. It meets the ever-increasing demands of the job market. The cook trade currently offers good job opportunities.
